Setia Caring School Programme Caring Agent Reunion Programme (Upper 6)

18 January 2017

As the year has just started and Chinese New Year is round the corner, we took the opportunity to make happen a reunion for the fellow students who participated in our Caring Agent Workshop.

50 of the Form Six students who underwent the Caring Agent Workshop in 2016 were brought back together for a catch up session. Friends from different schools were happy to see each other once again and everyone was busy sharing their updates with one another.

The reunion was made better by the presence of the Chairman of Setia Foundation, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Wan Mohd Zahid Mohd Noordin. Tan Sri Wan Zahid delivered a speech that shared his wisdom with the fellow caring agents to inspire the younger generations to do great things for the society.

Due to the difference in schedules and commitment, it is not easy to gather everyone to spend some time together. Surely we wouldn't miss this chance to add in another opportunity to inspire these folks a little further in contributing to our society. We got in touch with a few community heroes that are contributing back to our society and a mini Ted-talk style sharing session was organized. These caring agents had the opportunity to interact with community leaders from, Picha Project, FOLO Farms and Red Bubbles.

"We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other. If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you." - Jeff Warner.

We hope that through the stories and insights from local community leaders, the students will be able to continue to work together to build a better society for all.
