A Caring Gotong-Royong Session with Special Friends from PDK Hulu Kelang

19 March 2016

As part of the caring areas of the Setia Caring School Programme to inculcate Caring for Society, Setia volunteers offered their helping hands to the disabled group of residents and children from Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) Hulu Kelang to do some clean-up work around the area.

Registered under the social welfare department, PDK Hulu Kelang houses 107 residents and children who are physically challenged, slow learners, autistic, people with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and dyslexia.

Together with friends from PDK Hulu Kelang, Setia volunteers helped transform an abandoned store room into a Friends of People with Disabilities (PWD) Club, also known as Advovaganza, so that our special friends can have a comfortable space to carry out their sustainability and outreach programmes.
