A total of 355 Year Six students from the Setia Caring School Programme adopted schools received their graduation certificates in a multi-racial joint graduation ceremony organised for the first time at Setia City Convention Centre. Themed “Celebrating Your Success: Fulfilling Dreams”, the headmaster, headmistress and teachers from three schools worked hand in hand to put together a heartwarming affair to celebrate the achievement of the students before they bid goodbye to their alma mater.
The joint graduation ceremony was graced by S P Setia Foundation Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Wan Zahid bin Mohd Noordin and Klang District Education Office Head Hajjah Adliyah binti Ramli.
“This is a momentous occasion for the schools and for the nation as we successfully bring these schools from various races, background and culture to come together as one. As we aim to inculcate caring and promote mutual respect and unity among the community, I am happy to see that teachers, parents and students from three schools worked together in making this ceremony a success,” Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Wan Zahid bin Mohd Noordin said.
Apart from the presentation of graduation certs and Best Student awards in the presence of the parents, the event also saw various activities and performances by the teachers and students including a multimedia presentation of integrated activities by the three schools and cultural performances.
