Before coming to the end of 2015, a group of Setia volunteers brought cheer and happiness to the patients in the Pediatric Ward and the Leprosy Centre of Hospital Sungai Buloh through various interactive activities.
First, the volunteers dropped by at the Leprosy Centre to meet and greet the elderly patients with goody bags containing food items and toiletries. The rooms were filled with warmth and laughter as they shared stories and touching moments together. Some of the patients also had fun participating in the “Chicken Dance” and “Musical Ball” sessions with the volunteers.
The volunteers then moved on to the Pediatric Ward to decorate the ward as well as to deliver goody bags attached with get-well-soon notes, cupcakes and balloons to all patients. The Foundation also donated educational toys to the Pediatric Ward while volunteers donated children books to the patients.
It was a pleasant surprise for the patients as the Setia Care Bear mascot made friendly appearances and visited the patients with happy smiles. The visit also ended with a birthday celebration held for the December babies, nurses and doctors.
