16 November 2015

Students, teachers and parents from the Setia Caring School Programme adopted schools visited Rita Home in Kapar, Klang, to spread Deepavali festive cheers to the residents of the home. They spent a fulfilling morning with more than 40 residents through various activities including singing, dancing and a heartwarming sharing session.
In addition, the school teachers and students took the initiative to raise funds among themselves to purchase basic necessities including food items and toiletries for the residents. SJK (T) Ladang Vallambrosa headmaster Tharman A/L Loganathan also cooked special meals for the residents as a gesture of love and care.
S P Setia Foundation secretary Nur Davina Skymmar said activities as such are good platforms for students to be up close and personal with the less fortunate at a young age, as well as to encourage them to start thinking and cultivating good habits to lend helping hands to those in need.
