A Visit to Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas by Pupils

13 July 2015

As part of the Setia Caring School Programme’s objective to nurture children with the idea of caring for society, good moral values and empathy, pupils from two adopted schools under the Setia Caring School Programme - SK Meru Jalan Tap and SJK (C) Lee Min, visited Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas LZS in Shah Alam to spread some Raya festive cheers to the elderly.
The pupils and their teachers and parents had a sharing session with the elderly and presented personalised Raya cards to them. They also distributed food items and daily necessities to the elderly which were packed by pupils and Setia volunteers. It was a good exposure and learning experience for the pupils as they understood the meaning of Caring for the Society as well as witnessed the warmth and happiness from the elderly who were touched by the simple caring gesture.
